(My book was Bab: A Sub-Deb by Mary Roberts Rinehart). Good luck with Thoreau! I remember liking Civil Disobedience and the first and last parts of Walden. The middle part of Walden was kind of a slog, but then, it was assigned reading for me at the time, and I was reading it in one of those Norton Anthologies with the tiny print and thin pages.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5836498427534956664.post-39361471814571641912014-05-12T11:38:15.641-04:002014-05-12T11:38:15.641-04:00I can't wait to read more Austen books, as I l...I can't wait to read more Austen books, as I loved Emma and enjoyed Pride and Prejudice. It is a short read of only 260 pages, so I will get it read soon, although I don't think I will post my review until July 7th. Northanger Abbey is a pet favorite of mine. I know it's considered such a slight Austen work, but I'm very fond of it.
