Today or yesterday to be exact once this post will be up for view, I am not shopping but spending time at home and having leftovers, watching football and working on some craft projects. Here are some of the photos of my latest progress and where I am starting today, perhaps I won't get too far but you never know.

Any Progress On Crafts Is Good
I haven't gotten too much on this cross stitch gift for my sister, but I figure any progress is better than none. Here are the pictures below from the last time I posted. I have also worked quite a bit of work done on the EPP hexagon quilt I am working on, but will post about that tomorrow.

Lots of progress.....
I have made quite a bit of progress on the cross stitch gift for my sister, here is my previous photo of what I had done.
One of my Grandmother's is seriously ill, so I am cross stitching a card for her. I do not have a picture of what the pattern is but it is in a book by Joan Elliott. I am working on the border and then once I finish that I will stitch the main part. In the corners of the pattern it says LOVE with a letter in each corner. The main section has a rose, I know another one, but the pattern is really beautiful. In the side borders it has more flowers with leaves and stems.

Progress In One Day
This picture is what my project looked like before I started working on it last night.
This is how far I got on my work last night. I think I got quite a bit done. I might not get that much done in the next day or two because of finals week.
Flosstube
I had to share this for anyone who loves cross stitch. Do you like to see peoples WIPs of Cross Stitch or see what projects people will be starting on? I recently found a group on YouTube called Flosstube. It is fantastic! Some of the people have stitch a longs where they either work on the exact same project or any project by a certain designer. Lots of people show their past works, current, and future ones as well. Most of the videos I have seen are either 15-45 minutes long. I wish there was a group that also did this for weaving or bobbin lace. I see quite a few videos on crochet and quilting.

Farm and Rooster WIP
I worked on this project quite a bit last week. Once completed this will go into our kitchen. I can't wait to start working on the Rooster later as it is very pretty. This is the only craft item I worked on last week. What have you been working on?

IHSW May 2014

Here is the before this weekend.....
I hope I get quite a bit done, but I think I have gotten a little bit off on my counting with the leaves. The finished design will have more piano keys, roses, and a flute. Will you be doing some cross stitching or other type of craft over the weekend?

Dear Jane Cross Stitch Pattern
Ever since I saw the Dear Jane (Jane A. Stickley) quilt over a year ago I have been a fan. I have known one person in my guild to make the quilt by hand, and watched them working on it. Some of the pieces were extremely tiny. Even though I loved the quilt, I knew right then and there I would never attempt to make one. However, I happened to see a sampler version of it in cross stitch. I was so happy! The designer is Linda Myers. There are several other patterns of her's that I want to make. I don't think I have ever seen anything by her before or if I have, I was unaware of it at the time. I can't wait to start this pattern, but know I have to complete several others first.

Snow Day Yesterday, equals craftiness..
Yesterday, was a snow day, so I had a pleasant relaxing day. For quite awhile I have not been in the mood to do cross stitching, but need to get this one project completed. You all were probably wondering when I was going to show some crafty posts, as they have been slim of late. Here is the before picture;
After working yesterday, here is my progress, not too bad but still need to do more this week and next.

First 2013 WIPocalypse post...
Let me introduce myself just in case you have never read my blog. I am a housewife and college student. I enjoy cross stitching, hand quilting, crocheting, tatting, and reading. I want to also try bobbin lace. I hope to be able to accomplish quite a bit for this year's challenge. If you want to join follow this link. Most of the items I will be working on I had originally planned on doing last year. I was never able to start them. Below is the only one that I was able to start. It will be a gift for my sister.
This is how it will eventually look like:
Here are my other projects, most of them will be gifts. I may add a few more to the list later.

Future Cross Stitch Projects.
I purchased these cross stitch projects, and hope to start them in the future. These will not be a gift or anything. I specifically purchased these in mind to make for our house and my sewing/craft room.
