I have worked on this quite a bit more and here are the results. I am almost halfway done with this lapghan. I am not sure if I will have it complete by Christmas or not.

What I have been up to lately....
I have been reading and studying for this.....
it is a jammed packed class as it is only six weeks instead of the normal sixteen. So what is one to do with a 20-30 minute break between a four hour class to relax?
Hand piecing of course! Here are two pictures of a 1930's tumbler table runner I am making. I have since gotten a lot more completed, but just haven't taken more pictures.
I also want to make a civil war quilt, of my own design as it will be in memoriam of an ancestor, and have been putting together triangles. I think perhaps I might use the triangles for a border, but not sure yet. I have gotten a little more done, that are not in the pictures.
While walking around campus, the lake always have a few geese, but I have never seen them outside of it. Last week, I saw a few of them have decided to venture out and about as they have gotten curious.

This is part of the 2014 raffle quilt that my guild is making. I made this part as my contribution for it.

Fun tv Projects...
I like to work on a variety of crafts while watching tv. Although I haven't done it in ahwile. I started working on a 30's Grandmothers Flower Garden (GFG), so far here is the very small progress I have done.
Here is more fabric that I will be using, 30's fabric is one of my favorites.
I love the GFG pattern so I even have more fabric for a future project.
I have been working on a Double Wedding Ring (DWR) table runner, so far I have only completed about six of the rings.
Here is the back of the ring, showing my hand piecing. If you have never done hand piecing or hand quilting I highly recommend. It is fun and relaxing.
A furry friend wanted to keep me company.
Now back to watching Burn Notice!

Projects...
Here are just a few of the projects I plan on starting & completing this year.
This is a Mirabilia cross stitch pattern that I want to make for my mom, and of course for myself as well. Love this pattern.
This one will be for our house. What better place than the kitchen? My husband liked this one as well. Hopefully to have it completed in December 2012.
My mother loves to read, so I will be making this bookmark for her birthday.
This kit is made from the same company of the Harbor Lights cross stitch that is previously on my blog. I was delighted to find this Golfing one, as my dad loves this hobby.
I plan on making some type of quilt for my husband this year. He loves this kind of homespun fabric (so do I).

My husband loves Halloween, and he loves these type of items. So this one will be hanging up in our house in October. |
My sister has always loved music. This will be her birthday gift and I thought it would have a nice place to hang up in her office.
Just in case you thought all I did for crafts was cross stitching, here is a small wall hanging. This will be for my grandmothers birthday this year. I plan on trying to do as much as possible by hand, even the quilting.
