Library Books.....

These are the library books that I currently have checked out, and of course there is somewhat of a theme of most of them being mysteries. Sometimes I go through periods when I only read one genre of books, not always through. What are you currently reading?

Books and What Are the Titles of These?

I went to the library today, and had quite a few books on hold for me. It seems like whenever I request books they are available all at once. As you can probably tell I had a them going on. While there my loa project local library has a project they do every year around Valentine's Day, called Date With A Book. It is a cute idea, and basically they wrap some books and put a vague description on them, you pick one or more and then open it at home and enjoy. I already know the answer to the two books I picked out, but will wait until tomorrow to post what they were.

Mystery Library book revealed

So about two posts back or so I mentioned I had gotten a mystery book from the library. I was unaware of the title or the main description of it. Here was the book:

I am excited to read this book, as I saw the movie growing up but never read the book. Normally I may not have picked this out. Of course later on I will do a review of it.

Mystery book....

Last week I was in my public library, I noticed they had about 5 books or so that was wrapped but had descriptions listed on it. I saw one that I was curious about so I decided to check it out. I thought it was a great idea not to judge a book but the cover/title. Wonder what the book will be?

Library books...

I couldn't wait to check these two  books out at the library when I saw them. The first book called A Secret Gift by Ted Gup is based on the author finding letters that his grandfather had from the great depression. His grandfather had put out a ad saying that he would give $10 to people who wrote to him and telling him why they needed the money. The author then tries to find the family members who received his grandfather's gift to see how it effected their lives.

Former  People: The final days of the Russian Aristocracy by Douglas Smith is about the nobility during and after the fall of the Tsar. We all know what happened to the Tsar himself and his family but what about all of the smaller and other major players? This book will tell some of their stories. It appears some of them were executed, others sentenced to the gulags, became "enemies of the state" and others fled.

I will be reviewing both of these books once I am finished reading them. Can't wait to get started! What books are you wanting to start read? Read any good books lately?

Future Cross Stitch Projects.

I purchased these cross stitch projects, and hope to start them in the future. These will not be a gift or anything. I specifically purchased these in mind to make for our house and my sewing/craft room.
